Taiwan has grown into a meaningful stop on Asia-Pacific cruise itineraries, usually as part of longer sailings that also call at ports in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, or Southeast Asia. Keelung, near Taipei, is the main cruise port, and it puts the whole capital region within easy reach for a day ashore.
Because Asia-Pacific cruise routes are less standardized than Caribbean or Mediterranean itineraries, availability and specific port combinations vary a lot more by cruise line and season — it’s worth comparing a few different itineraries rather than assuming one line’s Asia route looks like another’s.
